Hello everyone! It's been a while since the last post of the blog.

As you can see, the blog has been (again) updated with a new design, I will talk about it later.

This article will be a summary of the updates, changes, releases and development that has been done in the last 6 months and more.

New Logo Design

If you haven't noticed, all of v38armageddon logo has been updated with a little modification of the logo.

Here is a comparison of the old and new logo:

This slight change was made to give the logo a more vintage look, inspired by 1980s design.

This change was applied to all presence of v38armageddon, but don't worry about the old logo, you will still see it in some places.

Server infrastructure

In the last 6 months, all of the v38armageddon infrastructure has been reviewed and updated as part of a strategic effort to improve sovereignty, resilience, and alignment with European standards.

DNS and CDN

The DNS and CDN provider has been migrated from Cloudflare to Bunny.net, a privacy-focused and performance-oriented provider based in the EU.

Web Hosting

Vincent OS Website

The Vincent OS website has been moved from Azure Static Web Apps to Bunny.net Storage, ensuring faster delivery within Europe.

v38armageddon Status

The v38armageddon Status website has been migrated from a self-hosted environment to IONOS VPS XS, a European hosting provider.

v38armageddon Blog

The v38armageddon Blog has transitioned from Ghost CMS to a self-hosted ASP.NET solution, similar to the main v38armageddon website.

Blog Redesign

As you can see, the blog has been redesigned in both its frontend and backend.

The blog is now powered by a self-hosted ASP.NET solution, allowing for greater flexibility, performance, and maintainability.

Why this change?

The previous blog used Ghost CMS, a great platform for content publishing, but presented a few challenges in our specific setup:

While Ghost CMS is a fantastic platform, it wasn't the best fit for our needs. The new ASP.NET solution provides improved performance, easier maintenance, and greater flexibility for future customization.

New Forum

As part of recent changes, a new forum has been launched to provide a stable and independent community space.

For context, my Discord account was falsely flagged for suspicious activity and subsequently deactivated. This incident, beyond my control, directly impacted the presence and security of the v38armageddon Discord server. Given the current situation, Discord can no longer be considered a reliable platform for long-term community communication.

An official communication regarding the future closure of the Discord server has been published on Bluesky:

The new forum serves as a safer, more transparent, and more sustainable space for future discussions, feedback, and announcements.

The forum engine is powered by Discourse. You can access (and join it!) at forum.v38armageddon.net.

D.O.T Release

On 2025-07-18, the first release of D.O.T is now available on Steam and itch.io!

You review and feedback are very important to us, so don't hesitate to share your thoughts on the game by writing a review.

Future plans for H2 and 2026

The next 6 months will be crucial for the development of v38armageddon and its projects.

H2 2025

Vincent OS

Vincent OS is in a stable state, as you can see, we have released the Open Beta for Vincent OS 1.0.

The next steps will be to finalize the 1.0 release, publishing it and hope you like it!

Again, your feedback is very important to us, garanteeing that Vincent OS will not have any major issues at release. So don't hesitate to report any issues you may encounter.

You can report issues on the Vincent OS GitHub repository.

D.O.T

D.O.T will be in a dormant state for the next few months, but don't worry! I want to add more features to the game, stay tuned on social media!

v38armageddon Docs

Due to issues with the previous documentation system, the v38armageddon Docs will be migrated to a new system. This is our priority one for the next days.

Twitch Channel

The v38armageddon Twitch channel has been dormant for a while, I will try to stream more often, but I can't guarantee that I will be able to stream every week.

2026

2026 will be more of a year of maintenance and stability on already existing projects, rather than new projects.

Some of the projects that will be worked on in 2026 are:

Also, for the existing projects that are UWP (except WebSM due to compatibility issues), we will pushing the migration for pure UWP to Uno Platform, allowing to publish not only on Windows, but also on Linux and Android.

Thank you for reading this article, it was a long one compared to the previous ones, but I wanted to summarize all the changes that have been made in the last 6 months.

Hope you have a great day!
